fall through earth simulator
I made another physics simulation with processing, in order to prove my point in a dispute, that if an object were to fall straight through the centre of our planet, and there was no air resistance, it would never stop in the centre, but keep going from one end of the planet to the other. This simulation is a bit more basic than the last one. it functions on the principle that if there is no air resistance, the object will accelerate towards the centre of the planet at 9.81m/s2 with nothing to slow it down, and the energy needed to get to the centre of the planet would be equal to the energy needed to get to the same height on the other side of the planet, and no further.
